Welcome to the 2010 Loyola Graduate Philosophy Conference

Conference dates: March 26-28, 2010
Location: Loyola University Chicago (Lakeshore Campus), Chicago, IL

Keynote speakers:

Sayla Benhabib, Yale University
Anthony Laden, University of Illinois  at Chicaqo

About the conference:
Our time is frequently called one of crisis. We live in the midst of economic, environmental, and political uncertainty. The powers of capitalism, technology, and dialogue have been called into question. While the search for a connection between 'is' and 'ought' is perpetual, we live in a time and an atmosphere in which it is, perhaps, harder than ever to believe in foundations of justice. In this conference, we hope to explore contemporary philosophical attempts to understand justice in a time of crisis.
